Rachel Lynn Golden PhD Founder and Director

Rachel (she.they.rachel) is a psychologist, consultant, researcher, public speaker, and therapist.

Rachel utilizes social science to promote knowledge of gender expansiveness and gender-affirming, inclusive practices. Her research explores sexual development and gender across the lifespan and is centered in intersectional practice. Rachel aims to promote safe and healthy sexuality, affirm and support individuals of all genders, and reduce barriers to psychological and medical care.

Rachel is available for consultation on projects promoting health, wellness, and justice. Recently, she developed a program for the provision of gender-affirming mental health care in prisons across New York State.

Rachel provides LGBTQ+ affirming, intersectionally-informed and trauma-informed therapy within an Evidence-Based Therapeutic context (CBT, DBT, ACT).

Rachel also provides gender-affirming Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Rachel is the founder of the Gender and Sexuality Learning and Consultation Group (The GSLAC) where gender-affirming providers receive training on gender-affirming care as well as case consultation with peers.

Rachel received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Denver. She also holds Bachelors Degrees in Psychology (University of Colorado, Denver) and Romance Languages (Carleton College).
